Jamie Gatson, a Champaign Illinois native, didn’t start making music because he had ambitions of money
and fame. It was his best friend – Kiwane Carrington’s - death that gave life to Gatson beginnings as an
artist. Kiwane was murdered by the police when he and Gatson were 15 years old.
